Company list by radius or map area

Need the companies near a point or within a region on the map? With CNPJAPI you segment by radius (from a ZIP code or coordinates) or by area (drawing a rectangle on the map) and export the list as Excel or CSV, from Receita Federal's official data. It is a self-service feature in the portal, not an API endpoint.

Step by step

  1. Go to https://app.cnpjapi.com.br and open Segmentation (/busca/segmentacao). Available on the Advanced and Business plans.
  2. In the Geographic location field, choose the mode:
    • Radius from a point: set the center by ZIP code (the Use ZIP button) or type the latitude and longitude, and set the Radius (km).
    • Rectangle (bounding box): click Draw on the map and draw the rectangle - the minimum/maximum latitude and longitude fields fill in automatically (or type the coordinates).
  3. Under Minimum precision, choose Municipality (broader) or ZIP precision only (see the precision note below).
  4. Combine it with other filters as needed: CNAE, company size, registration status (for example, active only), Simples/MEI or contact availability.
  5. Click Segment to see the preview (how many companies and the distribution). Use View on map to visualize the result.
  6. Click Export, choose XLSX or CSV and confirm the rows and the charge (allowance + credits). Download it under Exports (/busca/exportacoes).

Precision and coverage (important)

The coordinate by ZIP code is approximate (centroid), from a public ZIP geolocation dataset - it is not the exact street-front point. The ZIP precision only option excludes points that fall merely at the municipality center (less broad, but more precise); Municipality is broader but includes coarse approximations. Choose according to your case: for a small radius (a few km), prefer ZIP precision; for a wide region, municipality works.

Use cases

  • Field sales / territory: companies within X km of the rep or the branch.
  • Delivery / service radius: who is inside your coverage area.
  • Expansion / franchising: assess the density of companies in a segment across a region.
  • Local prospecting: companies of a given CNAE near an address.

Tips

  • Radius from a ZIP code is the fastest path: type the ZIP, click Use ZIP and adjust the radius.
  • Irregular area? The rectangle covers most cases; for finer cuts, combine it with municipality/CNAE.
  • Charged per row: the preview is not charged; calibrate the radius/area before exporting.

Don't confuse it with CNPJ lookup
